The Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA) Board of Trustees will meet at 8 a.m. Thursday, June 18 in the SITLA Board Room located at 675 East 500 South in Salt Lake City.
Trustees will review and consider several trust lands issues, including an appeal to a Record of Decision regarding the cancellation of a grazing permit in San Juan County; a proposed sale and other development transactions in Washington County; water resource needs in Tooele County; and updates concerning land exchanges and litigation.
On behalf of the public school beneficiary, School Children’s Trust Specialist Aaron Garrett will discuss recent developments in trust lands law across the nation.
Trustees and SITLA staff will also recognize outgoing Trustee David Ure, and Trustees will elect board leadership for the upcoming fiscal year.
